Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care at Gwinnett Medical Center Holds Ribbon Cutting Celebration

Nearly 100 Physicians, Medical Professionals, and Dignitaries in Attendance

Collaborative Effort Between Atlanta Oncology Associates and Georgia Cancer Specialists Offers Comprehensive Cancer Care in Lawrenceville

The Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care at Gwinnett Medical Center  (GCTCC at GMC) — a comprehensive cancer treatment center brought to you by Atlanta Oncology Associates (AOA) and Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) — recently hosted a ribbon cutting celebration for its new office in Lawrenceville, located at 698 Duluth Highway on the Gwinnett Medical Center campus.

The event was held on May 1, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., drawing nearly 100 physicians, medical professionals, and dignitaries.

“We’re proud to partner with GCS to bring first-class cancer care to Lawrenceville,” said Dr. Dale McCord, CEO of AOA. “As we continue to grow and expand our services, Georgia’s cancer community can expect to receive the best in cancer care.”

AOA physicians Dr. Mark Quinn and Dr. Craig Wilkinson practice at the new office alongside GCS physician Dr. James Hamrick.

“We are very excited about the opening of the Lawrenceville GCTCC,” said Dr. Quinn, who has been practicing in Lawrenceville for nearly seven years. “We are proud to offer the citizens of Gwinnett County the best in total cancer care,” he said.

Dr. Wilkinson agreed. “Gwinnettians not only have the best cancer care available within miles, they have it all under one roof,” he said.

“It’s wonderful to know that cancer patients in Gwinnett can streamline their treatment schedules and spend more time resting at home,” Dr. Hamrick said.

GCTCC at GMC is a comprehensive cancer care facility where patients have access to many of the services associated with cancer treatment, including medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, and oncology specialty pharmacy, in addition to nutritional, wellness, and genetic counseling.
