Atlanta Oncology Associates’s Macon Office Receives Radiology Reaccreditation

GCTCC at Macon Coliseum Accredited by American College of Radiology

Atlanta Oncology Associates (AOA), one of the largest radiation therapy groups in the Southeast, recently received its reaccreditation certificate from the American College of Radiology (ACR) at its Macon office in the Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care at Coliseum Medical Center.

“The ACR is the principal supervisory body for radiation oncology,” said Dr. Dale McCord, President/CEO of AOA. “Receiving our reaccreditation recognizes the quality of our state-of-the-art cancer treatments in Macon.”

According to its website, the ACR has been a leader in the field of radiology for more than 75 years, providing its members with vital education, research, scientific information, and advocacy to continually advance the profession and enhance patient care.

The Georgia Centers for Total Cancer Care (GCTCC) are comprehensive cancer care facilities where patients can have access to many of the services associated with cancer treatment, including medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, radiology, dermatology, and a fully equipped pharmacy.
