Atlanta Oncology Associates (AOA), one of the largest radiation therapy group in the Southeast, continues to grow and expand its services with the addition of Dr. R. Randall Blackburn to its Hawkinsville office in the Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care at the Dan S. Maddock Cancer Treatment Center.
“We are pleased to have Dr. Blackburn join our expert staff of radiation oncologists,” said Dr. Dale McCord, President of AOA.
Dr. Blackburn joins AOA after practicing radiation oncology and radiation medicine at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa, as well as his residency in anesthesiology at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He received his medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV.
Dr. Blackburn is board certified in several areas, including radiology, osteopathic medicine, anesthesiology, and pain management. His areas of special interest include radiation oncology, palliative care, pain medicine, and behavioral aspects of cancer.
