Atlanta Oncology Associates has specialized in the treatment of cancer patients since 1972. Using the multiple treatment facilities of American Oncology Associates, we are able to provide radiation and medical oncology service throughout the Metro Atlanta region, Georgia, and the Florida panhandle.

The physicians at AOA have studied radiation oncology and radiation therapy at prestigious cancer centers all over the world. They are board certified in numerous areas, including radiation oncology, anesthesiology, and pain management.

Our facilities are accredited by the American College of Radiology, the principal supervisory body for radiation oncology. We offer state-of-the art treatment equipment and planning devices including dual energy linear accelerators, high dose rate brachytherapy, prostate implants, superficial treatment for skin cancers, three dimensional therapy planning, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), and Stereotactic Radiosurgery.

Research

AOA does its own clinical research, and also participates in National Cancer Institute (NCI) and other collaborative group research in clinical trials including Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG). Further, AOA cooperates closely with medical oncologists, urologists, and others in the effort to deliver the highest quality of multidisciplinary care in a closely supervised and cooperative medical environment.
